La comunidad educativa de la Escuela de Arte de Pamplona pide la implantación estudios superiores de Diseño

ESTUDIOS SUPERIORES DE DISEÑO EN NAVARRA
El Consejero de Educación, Sr. Iribas, comunicó el pasado 10 de febrero en el Ayuntamiento de Corella la implantación de los Estudios Superiores de Diseño en Navarra y la incorporación de la Especialidad de Diseño Gráfico a la oferta formativa de la Escuela de Arte de Corella.
Más allá de que la Administración asegure que, en el curso 201617, el proceso de implantación se hará extensivo a la Escuela de Arte de Pamplona, desde la Dirección del Centro no podemos dejar de manifestar que la decisión de crear en Navarra dos Escuelas Superiores, y no una, nos parece una grave equivocación.
No habiendo razones técnicas que respalden el anuncio hecho por el Sr. Iribas pedimos que modifique su decisión, proponga una alternativa de calidad a la oferta privada, y no condicione el interés general del alumnado de nuestra Comunidad.
Por la presente el Claustro de Profesores de la Escuela de Arte de Pamplona solicita formalmente la implantación inmediata de los Estudios Superiores de Diseño en nuestro Centro.
A continuación Begoña Munarriz, (artista, ex-alumna, madre de la Apyma y presidenta de la Asociación de Ex-alumnos-as de la Escuela), leyó el texto publicado en Diario de Noticias como carta al Director.
El director de la escuela en funciones reivindicó «una escuela capaz de ser alternativa a la oferta privada de Pamplona«. Explicó las razones de su dimisión e instó al consejero de Educación, José Iribas a que considere su decisión y proponga una alternativa que no condicione el interés general del alumnado de la Comunidad foral.
Ascunce rechazó que esta reivindicación de una escuela superior, y no dos, se interprete en clave de competencia con “nuestra escuela gemela de Corella”, ni siquiera con la oferta privada. «Creemos firmemente en que es mejor para el interés general de toda Navarra que se cree una sola escuela superior de Diseño en Pamplona«. El director afirmó que no tenemos otra opción que la protesta cuando después de tantos años se nos impone este escenario. “No sé si Iribas «se ha dado cuenta del problema en el que nos ha metido«.
